Pacific Kiwanis ClubKiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time. As a group we can achieve what individuals cannot do alone. Our History The Kiwanis Club of Pacific was chartered on October 26th, 1974, and has continues servicing the greater Pacific, MO area for over 35 years. The Club brought "Project Earn" to the community in the 70's and purchased the "Jaws of Life" for the fire department. They supported "Project Graduation" when started by the High School, and the "D.A.R.E. Program" when the police department started it. They built a playground in the City Park and helped the Agape Help House get coolers so they could provide perishable items to the needy. They started the Key Club and Builders Club leadership programs for the school district along with funding various scholarship programs over the years. The Club initiated the Terrific Kids program for the school district and has supported the annual Health Fair. The Club helped eradicate iodine Deficiency in the world as part of a $70,000,000 worldwide project to set up iodized salt plants. They have also helped Kiwanis Camp Wyman in Eureka, MO. Recently the club has partnered with the Parents as Teachers program to provide books for early childhood education and has provided all the hams for more than 300 Christmas Gift Baskets under the supervision of the Agape Help House. These are only a few of the many service projects in which the club has been involved.
